My journey in fitness began with a deep love for weight training and combat sports. While pursuing my passion, I studied sport coaching in college and proudly graduated with my HND in Sports Development. Since 2014, I’ve dedicated myself to helping others feel the same strength, confidence, and fitness that transformed my own life. I started with James when I was grieving the loss of a loved one and was feeling a little lost. Thad came back to the gym 3/4 weeks earlier to try feel better but I just wasn't finding motivation to keep going. I reached out to James, he was kind, a good listener and right away started to work on a plan for me to work to. Our sense of humours match perfectly and if I am having a bad day I know I will always feel better after PT with James. He has helped me with many questions about diet and helped me with meals - he brought me into baked oats which I now eat pretty much every morning. He will respond any day of the week too which is awesome to know you have the support every day of the week. In the gym I am lifting heavier than I ever have in the past, feeling more motivated than I ever have before and from working through James' programmes and having something to focus on, my mental health feels better. I don't weigh myself but I see big difference in jeans and I've went down a dress size. I would recommend James to anyone and I know that when the time comes where I might not use his coaching or PT services, I have made a great friend.

Since working with jimmy gym my life has completely changed. I started last October as an overweight, shift working, busy father of two. I made numerous attempts to change myself but couldn't stick to the routine. I sought out jimmy gum after a less than flattering holiday photo and I knew I needed to change. From there he provided me with my calories, which I didn't find restrictive and a simple strength and conditioning program to get me started. From there we have progress from me being around 100kg to 88kg with increased strength and fitness. The best all round shape I have been in my life and I owe it all to him. Don't get me wrong you need to put the work in but having a great coach beside you makes it a breeze. I can't recommend him enough and if you are reading this and considering it stop thinking about it and get started.

I can't believe how much I have came on while working with you! After having troubles with breathing due to covid/asthma l was out of breathe walking up stairs now I'm running 5k and doing mental conditioning workouts I feel a lot more confident in the gym and lifting heavier than I ever thought I could.You've encouragement has really helped me and you're always available when I need a kick up the arse or pep talk! Would definitely recommend you to anyone looking to get stronger, healthier and happier!

Before working with James I wasn't 100% confident of what I was doing in the gym. I was just going and hoping for the best. Since working with him my confident has grown. I am now lifting weight that I never thought I could ever do, I am using equipment that I would have ran away from. I also need to buy new clothes as what I have are too big. I would recommend James to anyone. He's got the patience of a Saint and he knows how to get the best out of you.

Before working with James I was a near complete beginner in the gym. I had worked with another PT but was unhappy with my program. James created a new program for me based on my own goals and schedule which he has adaptedd over time as I found what works for me. He has shown me how to use most of the equipment in the gym in multiple ways so that I know what exercises I can substitute if equipment is unavailable and most importantly he showed me how to complete my workouts safely as I would constantly hurt my back when l attempted larger compound exercises like deadlifts. Working with James I have lost about 10kg and improved both my strength and cardio and I could not recommend him highly enough.

When I was the only person that turned up for a Saturday morning class. You asked will we do the class or something different!! You had me doing your well loved supersets of 3 which involved 10/20/30 calories on bike, weighted lunges can’t remember 3rd thing and I literally thought I was going to die. You encouraged and pushed me but got me there!! At this point I thought I need to work with James to get me to where I want to be!! Never looked back!!
